Splendid 1850-O Half Dollar, AU53
From the Eliasberg Collection
1850-O $1 AU53 PCGS. Ex: Eliasberg. Splashes of soft
bluish-violet and gold make occasional visits to the partially
prooflike surfaces of this well defined O-mint dollar. Some light
circulation marks do not detract, and die rust "pimples" are
visible at the reverse periphery. Walter Breen (1988) suggests that
the issue is rarer than the 40,000-piece mintage suggests. Housed
in a green insert holder.Ex: Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. Collection (Bowers and Merena, 4/1997). lot 2218.(Registry values: N2998)
