1857 $1 MS62 PCGS. An elusive date in Mint State grades, from a mintage of just 94,000 coins, with the typical appearance of this issue. The head and several of the top stars are flat, and all remaining details on both sides are bold. The surfaces of this light ivory colored example are fully reflective, revealing minor hairlines and other slight imperfections consistent with the grade. Population: 20 in 62, 21 finer (8/07).
