1857 $1 XF40 PCGS. CAC. OC-2, R.3. This coin is well-detailed, although the strike is slightly soft on Liberty's head and the adjacent star. Hints of luster remain in the fields. Original pewter-gray patina blankets the interiors, while more attractive amber-gold and blue hues hug the outer peripheries. There are no major abrasions.
