1859 $1 MS62 PCGS. OC-4, Low R.4. Osburn-Cushing Die State a/a. OC-4 is rarest among four business die marriages known for the 1859 silver dollar. The date is entered furthest west, with the 1 mostly left of the shield point. Bold diagonal die lines within the reverse shield are also diagnostic for OC-4, though not mentioned by Osburn-Cushing. This example has frosty devices and semiprooflike fields. Brilliant save for a glimpse of golden-tan toning on the reverse near 3 o'clock.
