Rare in Mint State
1859 $1 MS63 NGC. Despite a mintage in excess of 255,000
coins, the 1859 Seated dollar is seldom seen, and Mint State
examples are noted rarities. This Select representative displays
boldly struck design elements, with satiny luster and semiprooflike
mirroring in the fields. The obverse is vividly toned in shades of
amber, violet, forest-green, and russet-brown, while the reverse
shows rose-gold peripheries around deep ocean-blue centers. Census:
