Description

1860 Seated Dollar, MS64+ CAC
Osburn-Cushing Plate Coin

1860 $1 MS64+ PCGS. CAC. OC-1, High R.3. The 1860 is much scarcer in Mint State than its New Orleans cousin. Uncirculated pieces are predominantly in MS61 to MS64 grades, and examples at the MS64+ level approach the Condition Census for the issue. The present well-struck, near-Gem exhibits a blanket of original green, rose, and caramel-gold toning. The reverse is remarkably devoid of contact, and the obverse displays only a few scattered ticks on the figure of Liberty and in the right obverse field. The coin is the Osburn-Cushing plate coin for the 1860 Reverse A at SeatedDollarVarieties.com. Population: 26 in 64 (2 in 64+), 6 finer. CAC: 7 in 64, 2 finer (8/23).(Registry values: N4719)
