Originally Toned, Select Uncirculated 1860-O Dollar
1860-O $1 MS63 NGC. More than half a million pieces were struck of this issue, but its availability in high grades is derived not from its mintage but from the release of several thousand pieces from government vaults in the early 1960s. This example has the usual thick mint frost beneath mottled, smoky gray-golden toning. Well struck with a number of small bagmarks that have accumulated in the fields on each side.
