Description

1860-O Seated Dollar, MS63
A Bright, Highly Lustrous No Motto Type Coin

1860-O $1 MS63 NGC. It is a remarkable stroke of fate that bags of New Orleans Seated dollars survived for more than a hundred years. If not for this hoard of 1859-O and 1860-O dollars, Uncirculated No Motto dollars would be prohibitively rare and limited to the 1846-O and 1850-O issues. This is a bright, lustrous example, common to all 1860-O hoard dollars, that shows just a hint of pale color on each side. The strike is sharp throughout and there are only small, individually inoffensive abrasions scattered about. Census: 44 in 63, 37 finer (2/10).(Registry values: N2998)
