Osburn-Cushing Die State a//a. Both 1s in the date sit low in the
exergue. This is an early die state example with both the obverse
and reverse struck from perfect dies. Dappled golden-gray toning
inhabits both sides of this Choice XF example. Marks are few on the
pleasing, lightly toned surfaces. Light high-point circulation wear
accounts for the assigned grade. The 1861 date is scarce-to-rare in
