Description
Toned MS 63 1861 Seated Dollar
1861 $1 MS 63 PCGS. The devices are uncommonly crisp in their definition with sharp folds in Liberty's gown and complete feathers on the eagle, only the stars on the right side of the obverse show any lack of central detailing. Dusky gray overall, when held beneath a light source one notices a considerable undertone of golden, rose, and sea-green toning that is also present. This depth of color does little to obscure the underlying satin-like luster, but does tend to subdue the effects of several abrasions that are scattered over each side.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24Z4, PCGS# 6951, Greysheet# 7210)
