Description

1871-CC $1 -- Graffiti -- PCGS Genuine. VG Details. The 1871-CC has the lowest mintage of any Carson City dollar. A meager 1,376 pieces were struck. Although a number of first-year 1870-CC dollars were set aside as symbols of local pride, the 1871-CC was little-saved and is rare regardless of condition. The present cream-gray and straw-gold example is moderately glossy and has the name "John" faintly entered vertically on the left and right obverse field. The date and mintmark are bold.(Registry values: N1793)
