Description
1872 $1 AU53 NGC. A pleasing, lightly abraded example of the penultimate issue in the series. Plenty of luster resides in the fields. The strike is crisp save for the typical softness on the stars. There are no mentionable marks on either side, and a touch of deep purple by the date adds color to the otherwise pale gray surfaces.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24ZJ, PCGS# 6968, GSID# 7221)
