1872-CC Dollar, AU Details
Elusive Low-Mintage Issue

1872-CC $1 -- Improperly Cleaned -- NCS. AU Details. The 1872-CC dollar boasts a low mintage of only 3,150 coins, and is among the rarer Carson City silver dollar issues; Bowers estimates only 150 to 200 examples are extant in all grades. This sharply struck piece exhibits virtually complete detail overall, with no distracting abrasions. The surfaces exhibit bright, golden-gray patina due to past cleaning, though this example retains an overall pleasing appearance.
