1872-S $1 AU58 PCGS. The fields of this near-Mint State specimen are semiprooflike, as often seen on the issue. Soft champagne-tan patina covers each side, and the design features are well defined, better so than often seen; only the hair atop Liberty's head is soft. None of the light circulation marks are worthy of individual mention. Population: 3 in 58, 8 finer (9/09).(Registry values: N1793)
