    1868 Seated Dollar, PR65
    Original Toning

1868 $1 PR65 NGC. OC-P2, High R.3. A conditionally rare Gem proof example of this popular issue, showing original blue-green and lilac border toning around brilliant centers, which is the typical coloration of coins from original proof sets of this period. This 1868 dollar is fully struck and deeply mirrored. The patina precludes a Cameo designation but delivers its own pleasing eye appeal. Census: 22 in 65, 7 finer; 6 in 65 (1 in 65+) Cameo, 7 finer; 1 in 65 Ultra Cameo, 2 finer (3/20).(Registry values: N4719)
