1837 Seated Liberty Half Dime, MS66
No Stars, Large Date, First Year of Design
1837 H10C No Stars, Large Date (Curl Top 1) MS66 NGC. The
1837 No Stars, Small Date half dime is an available issue in lower
grades, but it is quite scarce at the Premium Gem level. The
variety is distinguished by the shape of the 1 in the date, which
has a flat top. Popular with type collectors and as a first date of
issue. The unadorned obverse gives the issue a medallic quality,
and the strike and flawless surfaces are all that can be asked of a
