1839-O Half Dime, MS64
No Drapery, Original Patina

1839-O H10C No Drapery MS64 PCGS. CAC. V-4. Little more than 1 million half dimes were struck in New Orleans in 1839, and Mint State survivors are elusive in all grades and rare in Gem condition. This satiny near-Gem boasts above-average detail for the issue, with the only notable softness seen on the wreath bow. Amber-gold and navy colors accent the recesses on each side, with minimal surface abrasions and excellent visual appeal. Population: 6 in 64, 2 finer (4/14).(Registry values: N2998)
