Splendid Gem 1839-O Half Dime, No Drapery

1839-O H10C No Drapery MS65 NGC. A much underrated early New Orleans half dime in uncirculated grades, despite its second year status and mintage of more than a million pieces. This Gem exhibits sparkling luster and tan and cobalt-blue peripheral toning. The design elements are razor sharp, and there are no major abrasions to report. Two vertical die cracks wander there way through the reverse. Census: 3 in 65, 2 finer (10/05).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 232T, PCGS# 4320, Greysheet# 3803)
