Description
Elusive 1840-O No Drapery Half Dime
V-4, Small O, MS62
1840-O H10C No Drapery MS62 PCGS. V-4. Small O. This
Valentine variety has a prominently recut star 5. The reverse has
numerous spindly die cracks, including three that converge on the
mintmark and one that runs from the left of the right ribbon-bow to
the rim. Golden-gray surfaces exhibit well struck devices. A
diagonal pinscratch on Liberty's midsection is not overly
detracting. Al Blythe assigns this variety an R.5 rarity
rating.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 232V, PCGS# 4322, GSID# 3804)
