Description

1844 Half Dime, MS67+
Tied For Finest, CAC

1844 H10C MS67+ PCGS. CAC. This remarkably well-preserved Seated Liberty half dime features vivid colors in satiny luster along with a bold strike and unabraded surfaces. Central colors in champagne-gold, russet and amber are framed with peripheral colors in cobalt-blue, plum and ocean blue, providing excellent visual merit. The reverse has a die crack from the border to the F in OF, and the obverse has slight crumbling on the left rim. CAC verification attests to its status as an especially desirable example, and PCGS reports it tied with one other Plus-designated coin for finest graded (2/25). Population: 11 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer. CAC: 11 in 67, 0 finer (3/25).(Registry values: N2998)
