Description

Noteworthy AU 1844-O Half Dime

1844-O H10C AU50 PCGS. Medium O, rarer than its Small O counterpart. A dove-gray and olive-gold example with smooth surfaces and minimal wear. A good strike overall, despite a few incompletely brought up left-side elements. The 1844-O is even more difficult to locate than implied by its low mintage of 220,000 pieces, and most survivors are well worn. Population: 6 in 50, 16 finer (7/08).(Registry values: N1793)
