1846 Seated Liberty Half Dime, XF40
Rare Key Date, Ex: Benson
1846 H10C XF40 PCGS. From a low mintage of 27,000 pieces, Al
Blythe calls the 1846 Seated Liberty half dime "One of the key
dates in the series." The 1846 is rare in all grades today, and
pieces in circulated grades are prized by even advanced collectors.
The present coin is an attractive XF40 specimen, deeply toned in
shades of ice-blue and golden-brown. The devices remain sharply
detailed, with only light wear showing on the high points.
