Description
Important Gem 1848 Large Date Half Dime
1848 H10C Large Date MS65 PCGS. FS-301. The Cherrypickers' Guide states it succinctly: "The digits of the date are much larger than normal. It is very obvious a 4-digit logotype punch intended for a dime was used. The digits protrude well into the rock." Luxuriously toned in sea-green, gold, and lilac shades. The reverse has a bisecting die crack. Encased in a green label holder. Population: 2 in 65, 1 finer (8/07).From The Beau Clerc Collection.(Registry values: P5)
