1849/8 H10C FS-301 MS65 PCGS. This variety is distinguished from FS-302 by the placement of the 1 relative to the point of the shield (further left). Repunching on 49 is bold. The Guide Book lists the variety as 9 Over 6, but the underdigit is probably an 8. Traces of champagne-gold patina appear over frosty, impeccably preserved surfaces. Strongly defined on the stars, head, and wreath. Population: 5 in 65, 10 finer (11/16).
