Description

1850-O H10C -- Curved Clip at 11:30 -- MS63 NGC. Ex: Hilt Collection. Large O. Light tan-gold toning visits coruscating and well struck surfaces. Coined from boldly clashed dies. A minor curved clip at 11:30 causes nearby dentils to exhibit an incomplete strike. At 5:30 is a slight but perceptible "Blakesley Effect," created during the pass through the upset mill.
