Description

1850-O Half Dime, MS65
Seldom Offered in High Grade

1850-O H10C MS65 NGC. Although the New Orleans Mint struck 690,000 half dimes in 1850, this issue circulated extensively and is scarce in all Mint State grades today. Gems are rare. This piece is near the Condition Census. Old-time aquamarine and lavender toning appear on each side over frosty luster and well-struck devices. Interesting die cracks appear on each side in the margins. Census: 7 in 65, 1 finer (4/18).
