The Only Certified Prooflike 1852-O Half Dime, MS65
1852-O H10C MS65 Prooflike NGC. CAC. The 1852-O half dime is generally found in low grades, and is very scarce in Choice XF and finer. This is a lovely Gem that has deep blue, purple, and orange-gold toning at the obverse border that turns golden-gray in the center, while lighter gold-orange surrounds the brilliance in the center of the reverse. The fields are bright and highly reflective, shining forcefully through the multiple layers of color. The strike is sharp except for the usual weakness on Liberty's head. Well preserved throughout. This is the only Prooflike 1852-O half dime certified by either of the major services (7/10).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 233L, PCGS# 4350, GSID# 3815)
