Description

Scarce No Arrows 1853 Half Dime MS66

1853 H10C No Arrows MS66 NGC. CAC. The mintage of the Arrows 1853 half dime is nearly 100 times that of its No Arrows counterpart, since it was futile to produce old tenor half dimes. As their bullion value exceeded face, they were subject to hoarding and melting. This boldly struck and lustrous MS66 example exhibits vivid aquamarine and slate patina. Census: 10 in 66, 2 finer (11/07).(Registry values: N1)
