1855-O Half Dime, Colorful Gem
Late Die State, V-1a

1855-O H10C Arrows MS65 PCGS. V-1a. The obverse die that struck this coin appears in a quite advanced state, showing extensive die rust and heavy peripheral die cracks. The reverse die is nominal. The heaviest obverse crack joins stars 6 through 13 with Liberty's head and cap, and another smaller crack connects parts of the date with the right arrowhead. In terms of preservation, however, this coin is a Gem showing original aqua, jade, and mauve color that is deeper on the obverse. There are no singular marks. Population: 9 in 65, 2 finer (3/13).(Registry values: N2998)
