1856 H10C MS66 NGC. Centered date with the 1 about equally spaced from the base of Liberty and the border. A fully brilliant example with frosty silver luster. The head is nearly flat, and the obverse and reverse borders are almost entirely absent of dentils. These missing dentils are characteristic of most or all 1856 half dimes, including pieces from different die marriages. Another 1856 half dime in the present sale, from a different obverse die, has an identical border appearance.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 233P, PCGS# 4363, GSID# 3782)
