Elusive Superb Gem 1857 Half Dime
1857 H10C MS67 NGC. The 1857 is one of the highest-mintage dates in the Seated Liberty half dime series (7.280 million pieces), and consequently is available in most levels of preservation, including Mint State. Premium Gems are challenging, however, and finer-grade coins are highly elusive. Cobalt-blue, lavender, yellow-gold, and violet patination bathes the lustrous surfaces of this gorgeous Superb Gem. Generally well struck and impeccably preserved. Light horizontal roller marks are visible on the reverse.
