Boldly Clashed, Originally Toned
Superb Gem 1858 Half Dime
1858 H10C MS67 NGC. This is a textbook coin not only for
what original toning should look like, but also for its unusually
bold die clashing, with much of the reverse design prominent on the
obverse. Clashing is visible on the reverse, although not so
starkly. Pinkish-gold centers cede to cobalt-blue at the
peripheries on each side. As demanded of the grade, there are
essentially no post-strike impairments. Census: 20 in 67, 4 finer
