Description

Pleasing MS66 1859 Half Dime

1859 H10C MS66 NGC. A little Premium Gem that sparkles with ample luster. The strike is powerfully bold and the surfaces are clean and frosty, with an icy sheen to them that is very pleasing. Several wisps of beige toning is seen on the obverse. The 1859 half dime is interesting for its hollow obverse stars, a hub used only this year aside from the rare "transitional" 1859 and 1860 patterns.(Registry values: N1793)
