Short-Lived Paquet Subtype

1859 H10C MS67 PCGS. Rich aquamarine, straw-gold, autumn-brown, and gunmetal-gray toning embraces this lustrous Superb Gem. The strike is complete aside from the upper reverse dentils. Except for the 1860 Transitional pattern, 1859 was the only year for Paquet's seated Liberty subtype, which features hollow-centered stars. Certified in a first generation "rattler" holder. Population: 29 in 67 (16 in 67+), 5 finer (11/18).(Registry values: N2998)
