Description

1862 Seated Half Dime, MS68
A Condition Census Rarity
Ex: Bender, Beautiful Original Toning

1862 H10C MS68 PCGS. CAC. Ex: Bender Collection. The 1862 is among the more plentiful Seated half dimes from the 1860s, although examples are conditionally scarce at the Superb Gem level and are rare at the MS68 level. The Bender specimen is among the finest examples known, and it is one of just three coins in the top grade to carry CAC endorsement (5/25). Beautiful original luster glistens across softly frosted surfaces. Lovely peach-gold, lilac, and steel-blue hues adorn each side, and the strike is suitably sharp. The preservation is virtually flawless. PCGS Population: 8 in 68 (1 in 68+), 0 finer. CAC: 3 in 68, 0 finer (5/25).(Registry values: N1)
