1865 H10C MS65 PCGS. CAC. Medium lavender, cobalt-blue, and golden-brown toning blankets this unmarked Gem. Fractional currency replaced half dimes in commerce during the Civil War. Only 13,000 business half dimes were struck at Philadelphia in 1865, and survivors are rare in all grades. Housed in a first-generation holder. Population: 8 in 65, 8 finer.
