1868 H10C MS67+ PCGS. CAC....
Description
1868 Seated Half Dime, MS67+
Tied for Finest Certified, CAC Endorsed
1868 H10C MS67+ PCGS. CAC. The 1868 half dime's moderately
low mintage of 88,600 coins contributes to its scarcity in high
Mint State grades. For the collector who simply must have the best
available, however, this exceptional Superb Gem deserves a closer
look. Colorful semiprooflike mirroring in the fields reveals
splashes of pale olive, gold, lavender, and sea-green toning, while
the central devices are well-defined and frosted, with only slight
weakness at the upper-left portion of the wreath, as usual. This
Plus-graded coin with CAC endorsement is tied with just two others
as the finest certified at PCGS. PCGS Population: 3 in 67+, 0
finer. CAC: 6 in 67, 0 finer (8/25).Ex: PNG New York Invitational Signature (Heritage, 10/2014), lot 4682. (Registry values: N1)
