Late Die State 1868-S Half Dime, MS65
1868-S H10C MS65 NGC. San Francisco Mint coinage from the era circulated extensively, making high quality Mint State pieces elusive. Pleasing champagne toning subdues the frosty mint luster of this lovely Gem. Design details are mostly bold with only slight peripheral weakness. Both dies are shattered, each with several die cracks. Census: 16 in 65, 4 finer (7/08).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 234P, PCGS# 4393, GSID# 3831)
