Sharply Struck Superb Gem 1871 Half Dime

1871 H10C MS67 NGC. CAC. This issue from near the end of the silver half dimes was a large 1.87 million pieces, but this piece is among the few finest survivors. Well-struck surfaces are contact-free and boast a rich palette of mostly pinkish-gray and ocean-blue. A super example of the Seated half dime series for a type set. Census: 2 in 67, 2 finer (3/11).(Registry values: N2998)
