Description
1839 Drapery MS 64 PCGS. A scarce first year of issue in the Seated half series that is especially elusive in the better grades of mint state. In fact, there have been no examples graded finer than MS 64 by PCGS (3/95). This piece has flashy, lustrous surfaces and is well struck in most areas. There are a few field marks and one abrasion on the lower jawline of Liberty that are somewhat distracting, but altogether this is quite an attractive piece.
