Description
Important Uncirculated 1839 No Drapery
1839 No Drapery MS 61 NGC. Sharply detailed and virtually untoned, exhibiting only a whisper of golden color about the reverse periphery. There is a ghosting of drapery below Liberty's outstretched arm, but the size and position of the rock to the left of the shield clearly indicates this piece is the more valuable No Drapery variety. Extremely scarce in uncirculated and an important one-year type coin.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24GK, PCGS# 6230, GSID# 6251)
