1840 50C Small Letters, Die Pair 6, R.4, MS65 NGC. Die rust
on the field near the arrowheads, and curved lathe lines on the
seated Liberty, are the pick-up points for the scarce Die Pair 6. A
brilliant Gem with remarkable eye appeal. Booming luster sweeps
well struck and lightly marked surfaces. Nearly unobtainable any
finer. NGC Census: 12 in 65 (1 in 65+, 1 in 65?), 2 finer
(12/25).Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2010), lot 2122.
