Description

1841 Seated Liberty Half, MS63
Unusually Sharp Strike

1841 50C WB-101 MS63 PCGS. From a mintage of 310,000 pieces, the 1841 Seated Liberty half dollar is an elusive issue in all Mint State grades. Although many examples of this date are softly struck on Liberty's head and the eagle's leg, this coin is sharply detailed throughout. The lightly marked surfaces radiate satiny mint luster, under attractive shades of golden-brown and lavender toning. Population: 8 in 63, 8 finer (8/16).
