Description

1841-O MS 65 NGC. Sharply struck over both the obverse and reverse. The luster is somewhat concealed by the rich gunmetal-blue and charcoal-gray toning seen over each side. Somewhat more available than other O-mint halves because of the discovery of a 40-piece hoard on the site of Fort Harrison in Florida several years ago. Still in gem condition, a condition rarity. In fact, this coin is tied with one other as the finest thus far certified by either service.
