Description
1843 MS 62 PCGS. A lustrous early Seated half, with golden toning at the centers yielding to iridescent blue at the rims. Sharply struck, the obverse shows die cracks above Liberty's head and below the base, while the reverse is bisected by one thin crack running from rim to rim. Marks in the field may explain the grade, but they are well hidden beneath the attractive toning. One of nine graded at this level, with only 11 finer (10/96).
