Description
1843 50C MS64 NGC. High grade survivors of this otherwise common P-mint delivery (3.8 million pieces produced) are anything but common in today's hobby. This is a wholly original near-Gem with electric-blue peripheral toning on the obverse and otherwise antique-gray surfaces. Sharply struck with only a few wispy abrasions. Population: 11 in 64, just two are finer (9/01).
