Description
1843-O MS 61 ANACS. With a mintage of 2.2 million pieces, the 1843-O is one of the few New Orleans No Motto halves that can occasionally be found in mint state. This coin is sharply struck on the figure of Liberty and the eagle, with minor softness noted on the peripheral stars. The bright, semi-prooflike surfaces are mostly brilliant with a moderate edging of peripheral color.
