Choice AU Double Date 1844-O Half, FS-301
1844-O 50C Double Date AU55 PCGS. WB-103. FS-301, formerly FS-001. This dramatic repunched date variety became even more famous when it appeared on the cover of the Wiley-Bugert volume, the standard reference to the series. Most examples are well worn, but the present piece has only minor friction on Liberty's legs and other highpoints. Lightly toned and partly lustrous. Population: 3 in 55, 3 finer (8/08).From The Sundance Collection.
