Description

1844-O 50C AU55 ANACS. Mottled purple, russet, and lavender toning with bold definition and a sharp strike. Only a touch of rubbing on the highpoints keeps this piece from the Mint State category. A conditionally rare issue and much more elusive than the mintage might suggest.
