Description
1845-O 50C MS62 PCGS. An interesting array of die cracks represents the terminal state of the reverse die in its third usage, while the obverse die made its only appearance on this variety of the 1845-O. Faint golden-gray toning drifts over the silver surfaces that show semiprooflike reflectivity on both sides. Slight blending at the base of the eagle and among Liberty's hair curls and the surrounding stars is noted, while marks are limited to some faint hair-thin lines and small abrasions. Population (all 1845-O varieties): 8 in 62, 21 finer (6/16).(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24H4, PCGS# 6249, GSID# 6319)
